What would a christmas be without some good old family tension? I've been here too long already, and it'll be nice to get back into the swing down in texas. Shooting a wedding in two days, then back to the lonestar state. What's next, and who's coming with me?

So these guys I work for (check out their site at www.deucescracked.com - I work for Emil and Krantz) bought be a new iPhone. Job abso-fucking-lutely rules and I'm gettin hella paid which is nice. It wears me the fuck out though, but a job's a job. Gonna get around to my own shit once they get settled in and I get a routine going, apologies for the extreme lack of contribution from my end but that'll change soon, I promise. Heading home for the holiday on Monday, bringin my cam with, so fingers crossed for a good yield.

I was gonna upload another round of elegantly composed documentary photographs from this project. However somewhere in the two feet between my camera's memory slot and the card reader, two days worth of really sweet pictures disappeared. I've not been so cheesed in a long while. I hate feeling so powerless in the face of a wasteful loss of effort, guess I'll jsut have to tell the story a little backwardsish now. However, it's awesome to just be there. This thing is gonna be phenomenal. The contruction guys on other crews in the building are constantly coming and gawking at this thing. Also the rigging stuff were doing is so intense, but so beautifully simple. Such refined tools for rigging that are just the same thing as a thousand years ago evoke thoughts of Man's progression through the ages. Two words. Chain-Break. I want them everywhere.

The welder on the project is a really funny dude from the Bronx. Sweet as hell with the mouth of a sailor form the Bronx. A bit lewd, but a familiy man of sorts. Anyway, he took a test to be a certified welder in Texas. Every state and industry has differnet certs you need to be a pro. He aced the test the fastest of anybody who's ever been through the testing center. 3 Minutes, which is fast considering they once had a guy take 4 hours. Fastest gun in Texas. Way to go Pren.

I guess back to shooting tomorrow. I'm cutting out a half day early to hit up the mall. The mall where I got my most magical pair of sneakers to date. I'm going xmas shopping, so hope I see something that reminds me of you. I'll probably peruse the used grill selection at Paul Wall's store for some much needed grill action in VT.
